The Holy Ghost

Puppet: (scared) Hurry, run, everybody get outta here, leave, hide. I’m scared. Heeeeeeeeeelp!

Adult: Woah, wait a minute here. What has got you so frightened and upset? What’s the matter?

Puppet: Just a few minutes ago, I was in the sanctuary and Pastor said a ghost was going to take over the
            service. A ghost is taking over and taking hostages. Pastor said it was going to take control. I’m
            scaaaared.

Adult: What? Are you sure? A ghost? Something is not right here? OK, now calm down. Take a deep breath and try to
          remember. I want you to tell me exactly what pastor said.

Puppet: He was praying and then he said that the ghost was going to take complete control of the service.
            The Holy ghost. Pastor invited that ghost and even asked Him to take over. Wah why would he do that? Now a
            ghost is coming . Waaaaaaaaah

Adult: Oh my goodness! Now everything makes sense. The Holy Ghost, of course. The Holy Ghost is GOD’S Holy Spirit.

Puppet: God’s Holy Spirit?

Adult: Yes! You do not have to be afraid. God’s Holy Spirit is who lives inside of us when we ask Jesus into our hearts.
          God’s Holy spirit is who let’s us know when we are doing something wrong.

Puppet: When I do something bad my tummy feels all funny inside.

Adult: That’s right, that is the Holy Spirit stirring up your feelings so you won’t do that bad thing.

Puppet: Have you ever seen the Holy Spirit?

Adult: No, but you can feel Him inside of you, guiding you to do what is right. He gives you courage and makes you
          brave so you can tell others about Jesus and boldly say no to all the wrong things of this world even when others
          are doing them.

Puppet: Wow, The Holy Spirit is The ghost Pastor was talking about. The Holy Ghost. He does not sound scary at all.

Adult: Nope, In fact if you are scared, maybe at night, alone in your room, in the dark, you can ask God to
          take away all your fears and the Holy Spirit will make you brave! Just like The Holy Spirit can change you into
          not being afraid to tell others about Jesus, The Holy spirit can make you brave in other situations too.

Puppet: That is so cool! God’s Holy Spirit is alive inside of me! I loooooooooove it!

Adult: That’s right, and God looooooves you, that is why God sent His Holy Spirit to guide you and help
          you and to give you the power you need to make the right choices even when the choices seem hard.

Puppet: Thanks a heap! I am going to go back into the sanctuary and watch The Holy Ghost take control of
             the singing, and dancing, and the words pastor is preaching. I bet it is going to be exciting! You
             should ask the Holy Spirit to take control in here too. By everybody!

Adult: That’s a good idea. By puppet, enjoy the service. Let’s bow are heads and pray.

(Pray for The Holy spirit to come and take control of the service)
